From the West:
Take the A 4 in the direction of Erfurt and exit onto the A 71 at Kreuz Erfurt interchange, take the A 71 in the direction of Sömmerda and exit at Sömmerda Ost, then take the B 176 following the signs for Kölleda and Bad Bibra, in Bad Bibra, take the B 250 to Nebra.
Or, alternatively:
Take the A 38 in the direction of Leipzig and exit at Querfurt, then take the B 180 following the signs for Querfurt. After Querfurt, continue on the B 250 until you reach to Nebra.
From the South:
Take the A 9 in the direction of Leipzig/Berlin and exit at Naumburg, then follow the B 180 via Naumburg to Freyburg. Follow the Freyburg bypass (B 176/180) and continue along the B180 (via Gleina) towards Querfurt, turn left before Steigra (Zementwerk) and follow the signs to Nebra.
From the East:
Take the A 14 in the direction of Leipzig and exit onto the A 9 at the Schkeuditzer Kreuz interchange, take the A 9 in the direction of München and exit onto the A 38 at the Kreuz Rippachtal interchange, take the A 38 in the direction of Göttingen and exit at Querfurt, following the signs for Querfurt. After Querfurt, continue on the B 250 until you reach to Nebra.
From the North:
Take the A 14 towards Leipzig, exit at Halle. Pass through Halle city and take the B 80 towards Eisleben. Take the A 143 in the direction of Göttingen/Leipzig and exit onto the A 38 at Dreieck Halle-Süd interchange, take the A 38 in the direction of Göttingen and exit at Querfurt, following the signs for Querfurt. After Querfurt, continue on the B 250 until you reach to Nebra.
Or, alternatively:
Take the A 9 in the direction of München and exit onto the A 38 at the Kreuz Rippachtal interchange, take the A 38 in the direction of Göttingen and exit at Querfurt, following the signs for Querfurt. After Querfurt, continue on the B 250 until you reach to Nebra.
Once in Nebra, signs will direct you to the visitors' centre.

Shuttle bus:
A shuttle bus runs between Wangen station, the visitors' parking lot, the visitors' centre and Mittelberg hill at regular intervals:

Prices: Tickets (per person and day) € 1.00, reduced tickets € 0.70 (children from 6 to 13), Family-Ticket € 3.50 (two adults + up to four children).
Groups intending to use the shuttle service are asked to notify Nebra Ark at least a week in advance. The staff at the visitors' centre will be happy to answer any queries and questions you may have concerning rates (e-mail us at

Arriving by bicycle:
Take advantage of the excellent bike paths and follow the lovely Unstrut valley via Nebra to Wangen. There is a short climb just before the Nebra Ark visitors' centre. So you have the peace of mind to enjoy your visit, you can check your belongings with us for safekeeping.
