Arrival by Train


Take a train with Deutsche Bahn to Naumburg main station. From there, continue with the Unstrutbahn RB 77 (START Mitteldeutschland) to Wangen station.

From Wangen (Unstrut) railway station, the best way to continue is on foot. The visitor centre is approximately 700 metres away.

Arrival by Bus

 

The Arche Nebra Visitor Centre is connected to Nebra, Memleben and Wiehe via bus line 629 operated by PVG (Passenger Transport Company of the Burgenland district). The bus runs hourly from Easter until the end of October. A minibus is used on this route.

From the Visitor Centre to the Discovery Site

The discovery site of the Nebra Sky Disc is located approximately three kilometres from the visitor centre, in the middle of a nature reserve with sensitive flora and fauna. The best way to reach it is on foot or by bicycle.

Between Easter and October, bus line 629 operated by PVG (Passenger Transport Company of the Burgenland district) also serves this route. From the last bus stop before the Mittelberg, it is approximately 300 metres on foot to the plateau with the discovery site and the viewing tower.

From 1 November until Easter, the regular bus only runs as far as the Arche Nebra Visitor Centre.

 

Please note: On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, the bus currently runs only every two hours. The Arche Nebra Visitor Centre has no influence over the transport conditions of bus line 629.
