Unstrut Cycle Route

From the source of the River Unstrut west of Kefferhausen in the Thuringian Eichsfeld region to its confluence with the Saale at Blütengrund near Naumburg, the Unstrut stretches for approximately 192 kilometres. The Unstrut Cycle Route is particularly popular with families and touring cyclists. From Naumburg, for example, you can cycle to Wangen via Nebra without any significant inclines. From there, only a short ascent remains before you arrive directly in front of the visitor centre.

Sky Disc Cycle Route

The Sky Disc Cycle Route connects archaeologically significant sites in Saxony-Anhalt.

The route is approximately 73 kilometres long and links the discovery site of the Nebra Sky Disc with its exhibition venue at the State Museum of Prehistory in Halle (Saale). In addition to these important archaeological locations, the cycle route runs through attractive landscapes such as the Ziegelroda Forest, the »Mansfelder Lakes« wine route and Lake »Süßer See«.

Wangen (Unstrut Cycle Route) – Arche Nebra – Mittelberg – Hermannseck – Leimbach – Querfurt – Obhausen – Kuckenburg – Esperstedt – Schraplau – Stedten – Röblingen am See – Aseleben – Rollsdorf – Langenbogen – Zappendorf – Bankendorf – Lieskau – Halle (Saale)

Saale Cycle Route

The Saale Cycle Route does not run directly past Arche Nebra. However, you can connect the Unstrut and Saale cycle routes at Blütengrund near Naumburg and reach us through the scenic Saale-Unstrut wine region.

Luggage Storage

Free lockers for your luggage are available at the service pavilion on the car park. There you will also find covered bicycle garages with charging facilities for e-bikes.

Additional lockers are located in the basement of the Arche Nebra. If you have very large or bulky luggage, please contact our ticket desk staff – we will be happy to assist you so that you can enjoy your visit in a relaxed way.
