Information on Bringing Dogs

Dogs are generally not permitted in the exhibition areas.

However, in the foyer and panoramic café, dogs may wait on a leash and under the supervision of a companion, upon request – provided that other visitors are not disturbed.

Please enter the visitor centre without your dog first and contact our ticket desk staff. They will be happy to inform you about the available options on site.

Children & Groups

Children and school groups may only enter the exhibition areas when accompanied by a supervising adult. Running, rough play and throwing objects are not permitted for safety reasons.

Emergencies & Video Surveillance

In the event of a fire alarm or other emergency, please follow staff instructions and leave the building calmly and promptly via the marked emergency exits.

Parts of the exhibition areas and the planetarium are under video surveillance for security purposes. The recordings serve to protect visitors, staff and property.

The video surveillance is operated by Kulturbetriebe Burgenlandkreis GmbH as the operator of the Arche Nebra. Recordings are generally stored for a maximum of seven days and are then automatically deleted, unless they are required in individual cases to clarify a security incident or to enforce legal claims. In such cases, the data may be transmitted to the competent authorities or other authorised bodies.

The legal basis for video surveillance is our legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, in particular for the protection of persons and property. Further information on your rights (e.g. access or deletion) can be found in our Privacy Policy.
